The minimum hours required must be degree-related graduate hours taken for credit, or deficiencies (graduate or undergraduate) filed by the department and approved by the Graduate School. Audit classes and/or classes not approved by the graduate student's advisor and the Graduate School are not covered by the tuition fee waiver. PEAC/DEAC classes are not covered.

Termination of an appointment during a semester may result in the graduate student being responsible for a portion of the fees (in-state tuition) on a pro rata basis.

All graduate assistants meeting the minimum required hours will be considered full-time.

Intersession

We will consider courses taken during the January intersession to be part of the tuition covered by a spring graduate assistantship; courses taken during the May intersession to be part of the tuition covered by the summer graduate assistantship; and courses taken during the August intersession to be part of the tuition covered by the fall graduate assistantship. If they are not appointed to the appropriate assistantship, graduate students must cover these tuition amounts themselves.
