What format does my thesis or dissertation need to follow?

The thesis or dissertation needs to follow the style guide of your discipline as well as following The Guide to Thesis and Dissertations.

How can I make sure that I followed the correct format?

This office requires that a preliminary copy of the master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation be presented to the Graduate School to check for formatting problems and adherence to page numbering specifications. This will save you time, hassle, and money in the event that any changes are needed. Do NOT use a previous master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation as a sole model for your paper!
