Adding two concentration areas to the ADLL Ed.D. program. Adding concentration areas to catalog to match the new proposed structure of the ADLL Ed.D. program.
Adding a concentration area of community college leadership to the ADLL EdD program. Clarifying catalog language around the courses required for the new concentration area. Adding two new concentration areas to the ADLL EdD program to match the new structure of the program of study.
Changing number of hours required from 96 to 60- now requiring a MS for admission instead of allowing MS hours to count toward the 96 hours. Adding language about the two different concentration areas. Removing the GRE as a requirement for admission. 96-hour requirement was very confusing for prospective students and hurt recruitment. To clean up the language, it was changed to requiring a MS degree instead of making the MS part of the Ed.D. requirement. Made the total hours required to be 60 to be more in line with ADHE requirements and to help with recruitment. Also, dropped GRE to aid in recruitment of students and to be more in line with the trends in other programs.
Adding an accelerated program (3+2). The Master of Athletic Training program proposes to create an accelerated Master of Athletic Training pathway (accel.M.AT.) for Exercise Science undergraduate students in the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation. This total five-year program will draw upon and build on the content and requirements of the existing Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and the existing Master Athletic Training degree though the proposed program, which will offer a pathway for students to earn both the programs within five years.
Moved BSN-DNP courses to NURSDP program to better align total number of hours required for DNP completion. This helps clarify what courses are actually part of the concentration.
Moved BSN-DNP hours (18) to more clearly identify total required hours to award DNP degree. Added clarification of 21 hours of concentration or APRN coursework awarded to include all 79 hours needed for DNP completion.
Changed CIP code. The original CIP code (13.0404) is not appropriate. This certificate is embedded within the Educational Leadership Master's program, which has a CIP code of 13.0401. Therefore, it is more appropriate to have the CIP codes be the same.

Title change for the program. Corresponding code change. The philosophy of teaching students has evolved to reflect abandonment of the ableist term “special needs” just as has happened in the past with other pejorative terms. The new title is more reflective of the intent and content of the certificate.
Inserted language that the GRE has been optional for applicants since 2021. It reflects a policy change we made in 2021.
To convey to applicants that the GRE is now optional for Ph.D. applicants. To reflect a policy change in the department.
